Nourish with foods, herbs, spices, and lots of liquids! We’ve formulated this recipe as a nutrient-dense powerhouse of support for your throat, lungs, and the rest of your body as well.

In addition to the smoothie, I’d recommend ginger and thyme in tea. You can also steep the thyme and inhale the steam with deep breaths for aromatherapy benefit to the sinuses and lungs. The steam itself is also beneficial on its own to add moisture through your nasal passages.

All the ingredients below are supportive, though I’ve indicated some specific functions that relate to our current air situation

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ea Raw Beet ~ supportive for the lung and detoxing for the entire body

  • 2 ½ cups Strawberries or Blueberries ~ loaded with antioxidants

  • 1-2 teaspoons Powdered Ginger ~ may help lung function and blood circulation

  • 6 leaves Fresh Basil ~ may help heal damage to lungs caused by smoke

  • 6 sprigs Fresh Thyme (remove steams) ~ cleansing for the lungs

  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley ~ anti-inflammatory and antibacterial
