More than just an acclaimed cooking school with an award-winning chef and catering team, Kitchen on Fire is devoted to advancing good health and general wellness. We work with some of the most well-known organizations in the Bay Area with KoF Nutrition and Wellness Events that educate their workforce on staying healthy with delicious food. From creating nutritious eating options for doctors and nurses on long shifts to cooking with a huge corporate sales team, KoF creates memorable events that transform the health of our clients.

1. Nutrition Series
4-week series: 4 90-minute nutrition course in the Berkeley/Oakland area. (This series is taught in different combinations of weeks (2, 3 or 4 week series) and class hours, see calendar for latest offerings.)

Proteins & fats for growth & repair
Cleansing & protective complex carbs
Boost your immune system
Gain Energy & Lose Weight
Maintain energy throughout the day
Handouts and presentation materials will be provided. Also a healthy snack and herb tea will be served at each class. Nutrition Courses are taught in a live classroom setting in Oakland and Berkeley. Oakland (Rockridge) location. Another Series via Skype/GotoMeeting will be posted soon!
2. Cooking Classes with a Nutritional Focus
Learn the nutritional aspects of specific health conditions or focus areas through a hands-on cooking class. The class format is similar to our other cooking classes, though has a nutrition discussion for about 30-45 minutes at the beginning of the class (discussion materials are provided to students in additional to the recipe packet) and more time for Q&A during our dinner time at the end of the class. Learn the nutritional aspects of healthy cooking focuses on healthy recipes and techniques to meet specific goals through a hands-on cooking class. The class format is similar to our other cooking classes, though has a technique and/or menu discussion for about 10-20 minutes at the beginning of the class and more time for Q&A during our dinner time at the end of the class. If there is something you are interested in and do not see it posted soon, please contact me directly. Some of these classes are a little longer than the typical 3-hour class. Class timing is noted when enrolling.
